Svitzer Hebburn Quay Repairs…

Svitzer Hebburn Quay wall was damaged from fire damage some time ago, as a result the wall was bowing and threatening to give (which could of potentially caused the entire car park to fall into the river). Damaged wooden buttress beams were removed and replaced with steel structures. The wall was escavated and re-inforced using new stillage, large bags of stone and concrete Kelly blocks were used to back fill the escavated area and further support the wall, a new tarmac car park surface was laid and a fence erected to complete the job.

Alexander Blast Quay Repairs…

The Quay within our yard was distroyed some time ago after heavy winds sent next doors crane crashing down.
Damaged wooden beams were removed and replaced with new stillage, corrigated sheeting was then laid as temporary housing for the concrete, plastic sheeting was then laid onto the metal sheeting with metal wire grid framework laid ontop to later strenghen the concrete. Concrete was then laid over the wire framework, platic and metal sheeting, the concrete was smothed and allowed to dry to complete the repair.
